Just kidding, that is definitely not how Bryndis and Andrew met. Bryndis and Andrew’s love story began on a medical mission trip in Antigua, Guatemala in March 2018, realizing their shared desire to give back and serve others.

Andrew first met Bryndis’s parent’s while helping Bryndis move into a rental house – talk about scoring points! Their first official date was in June 2018 to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth where Bryndis zipped from exhibit to exhibit while Andrew read every.single.description. It was on this first date that Bryndis asked Andrew to be her boyfriend (Yes, you read that right).

Six wonderful months go by and Andrew surprised Bryndis with tickets to her favorite musical, Chicago, for their 6 month anniversary. It is important to note, Bryndis mentioned loving Chicago to Andrew at the very beginning of their relationship, and he bought these tickets 3 months before the show. While holding hands, walking on the streets of Downtown Dallas, Bryndis realized how lucky she was to have found such a kind, thoughtful, and patient man. This is when Bryndis first told Andrew that she loved him (Bryndis – 2, Andrew – 0). Needless to say, she ruined his plan.

Fast forward to March 2021, Andrew took Bryndis back to the Modern At Museum of Fort Worth, where they had their first date and got down on one knee! Unsurprisingly, it was the easiest yes Bryndis has ever said in her life. It’s fair to say that Andrew ultimately took the win in the end.

Then, Bryndis and Andrew found out that they had successfully couples matched into psychiatry and pediatrics residency, respectively, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska and moved into their home with their Sadie girl in June 2021.
